The base convertible Cooper trim has a special turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that generates a solid 134 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. The combined fuel consumption of 9.1/9.0 (manual/automatic) gives you peace of mind when deciding to go a little further on the highway with the top down. If you want even more power, the turbocharged four-cylinder engine of the Cooper S will take you to 189 hp with 207 lb-ft of torque, while the John Cooper Works reaches 228 hp.
Each trim offers either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission and comes with standard safety features such as Dynamic Stability Control, Crash Sensor with Fuel Shutoff, Brakeforce Distribution, and more.
