The base and S E ALL4 trims carry an efficient 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 134 hp and 162 lb-ft of path-making torque. In combination with an electric motor, the hybrid efficiency of the S E ALL4 keeps fuel consumption low at a combined average of just 8.6 l/100 km.
To dive into even more power, the turbocharged four-cylinder engine of the S ALL4 produces 189 hp with 207 lb-ft of torque, and the John Works ALL4 has a top performance with 228 hp and 158 lb-ft of torque. Except for the purely automatic S E ALL4, all trims offer both six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
The Countryman is designed to transport five adults comfortably, which is something you wouldn’t expect from a compact SUV. Several ergonomic improvements allow for taller passengers to sit back and stretch out on any ride. And with nearly 1,400 litres of cargo space with the rear seats down, you can pack everything you need and drive away.
